Children's Choirs looking for participants!

There is now not only one but two Turkish Children’s Choirs in town, both sponsored by TACAWA. We are eagerly waiting for your children's participation!

For preparation of the Children’s Day on April 23, we are coming together for our choir practices on Sundays at Bellevue Ballet Studio. We will start rehearsals Jan 31, and each group will practice separately between 2:30 and 4:00. Children’s folklore practice will immediately follow the choir practice in the same building.

This year we will be having two separate choirs:

Little Kids’ Choir: Ages 4 - 5. We will be teaching children rhymes and simple children’s songs such as “Ali Baba’ nin ciftligi” and “Bir Elimde Bes Parmak.” Practice for the little kids will be between 2:30 to 3:15.

Older Kids’ Choir: Ages 6 and up. We will be teaching the National Anthem and school age children’s songs such as “Sevgi Cicekleri” and “Ilgaz Anadolu.” Practice for the older kids will be between 3:00 to 4:00.
