New York – Hot on the heels of the massive success at the “Istanbulive: The Sounds & Colors of Turkey” at Central Park SummerStage on June 27, 2009, seminal Turkish Best Clarinet in the World coming back to the US for a 7-date tour with up and coming NY Gypsy All-Stars across the nation.
Born in Bergama, a small town in the Aegean region of Turkey, Husnu Senlendirici-who has collaborated with Al Di Meola, tabla legend Zakir Hussain and Bulgarian clarinetist Ivo Paposov-is a prolific conservatory-trained Turkish master whose debut album, The Joy of Clarinet, held the number 1 position on Turkey´s pop charts for three months, a record-setting first for an instrumental album.
