May 19th Remembrance of Ataturk, Youth and Sports Day Celebration Picnic

Happy May 19th!

Rain or shine, please join us on Sunday, May 23rd at Lake Sammamish State Park for a day full of fun!

Start the celebrations with our traditional Ataturk bike ride along Lake Sammamish before the picnic at 10:30AM. All participants in the bike ride should arrive by 10 am and register by emailing their names, ages, addresses and contact information to info@tacawa.org. Please note that children younger than 16 participating in the ride need to be accompanied by adults. Please see below for a list of bike rental shops near Lake Sammamish State Park.

The day will also feature a backgammon tournament starting at 1 pm. If you are interested in joining the tournament, please make sure to bring your own backgammon set. Priority will be given to those with their own sets. You can register for the tournament now by emailing info@tacawa.org.

As for food, TACAWA will be selling Turkish meatball sandwiches, fruit and drinks. Members will get discounts on all prices! Additionally, you are welcome to provide your own food & drinks.

There will be hula hoops, jumping ropes and good conversation. Don't forget to bring your soccer or volleyball!
