TACAWA General Election Results

2011 TACAWA Board general elections were held last Sunday. We would like to thank everyone who participated in the elections, either personally or by proxy vote.

According to election results, Levent Besik, Bertan Aygun and Guner Firuz will continue their respective positions on the board as Vice President (Director of Membership), Treasurer and Auditor. Yesim Koman, the previous Social Chair, will assume the role of TACAWA president in the new term.

Our former President Gokay Taskin and Secretary Sevgi Demircan Aygun have elected not to run for the board this term. We thank them for all their efforts and wish them success in their future endeavors.

Finally, we proudly announce that Jeanene Mitchell, Sevket Numaoglu, and Selda Kement have respectively joined our new board as Secretary (Director of Community Outreach), Social Chair (Director of Events) and Substitute member. We welcome them wholeheartedly and look forward to serving our community together.
