The ninth annual Turkish Cultural Festival of Seattle, TurkFest is right around the corner! On Saturday, October 17th and Sunday October 18th we will gather in Seattle Center for a cultural feast of dance, music, documentaries, arts and crafts, children's activities, authentic Turkish food, backgammon tournaments, exhibits and much more..

The theme for TurkFest 2009, Cultural Reflections of Nature, stems from an ancient western Anatolian philosophy that describes earth, air, water, and fire as the four basic elements of nature. Festival attractions will explore the historical, social, and cultural connection between humanity and nature to demonstrate how the natural elements shape people's lives in and around Turkey.
