You are cordially invited to the University of Washington’s first Turkish and Ottoman Studies Graduate Student Conference on April 15th and 16th, 2010. The objective of this conference is promote international, scholarly cooperation among scholars and students working in the field of Turkish and Ottoman studies. The program features outstanding scholarship by an international group of graduate students, as well as keynote addresses by Karen Barkey (Columbia University) and Nurhan Atasoy (Turkish Cultural Foundation.) On the evening of April 16th, at 7:30, TACAWA is sponsoring the screening of the award-winning comedy "Mommy, I'm Scared" ("Korkuyorum Anne").
