Winter Semester Turkish Language and Culture classes Open to Registration

Are you planning to travel to Turkey? Would you like to improve on your Turkish language skills? Are your children unable to speak Turkish despite their Turkish heritage? TACAWA is offering affordable, fun and highly effective Turkish language and culture classes!

This season we are offering beginners, intermediate and advanced Turkish Language classes in Seattle and Bellevue. Additionally, we are opening a children's class in Seattle. All classes will begin the week of February 8th and continue for 8 weeks. There will be one two-hour long lesson per week.

The class fee is $200 per student. All prospective students should send their full names, ages, Turkish Language levels and desired class location to TACAWA at info@tacawa.org and make a payment using PayPal's "Buy Now" button below by February 7th. You can conveniently use your credit card or checking account for payment.

Please note that we will need to cancel the class for any participant rate lower than 4 students. All payments will be returned in full if the class is canceled for any reason.

Any class that falls on a vacation day will be rescheduled by the class teacher.

Classes in Bellevue
Beginners: 7 – 9PM, Every Tuesday between Feb 9th and March 30th
Intermediate: 7-9PM, Every Thursday from February 11th to April 1st
Advanced: 7 – 9PM, Every Monday between Feb 8th and March 29th

- Readings with emphasis on life and culture of Turkey.

Comprehension and expression of spoken and written Turkish as used in everyday situations, and introduction to Turkish culture.

Students will be expected to do the following with increasing skill as the semester progresses:
1- Answer simple questions in Turkish.
2- Read aloud in Turkish with understandable pronunciation.
3- Understand the passages that are read & respond to questions in Turkish about the
passages.
4- Follow commands given in Turkish.
5- Write Turkish from dictation.
6- Write simple letters in Turkish.
7- Basic Turkish Grammer.

INTERMEDIATE CLASS

2- Read and explain texts in Turkish with understandable pronunciation.
3- Increase use of speaking skill through conversation while reviewing and amplifying grammer skills.
4- Increase their understanding of the cultural values of the Turkish world.
5- Write short and long compositions in Turkish.
