You are invited to Seattle/Tashkent Sister Cities Association's annual Novruz celebration on Saturday\, March 21st.
There will be Uzbek food and dance\, live music\, and a very fun time celebrating Novruz together. The doors open at 6\:00 PM\, and the evening will conclude between 9 PM and 9\:30 PM.

Bookworms of Seattle\, unite! We now have our very own book club! Every month we will convene in a central location around Seattle to discuss a previously chosen book. Our first meeting is on April 15th. Our first book will be the \\"Forty Rules of Love\\" from Elif Safak\, who recently visited our city and led a delightful book reading in Elliott Bay Book Company.

The objective of this conference is to profile the wide variety of research and scholarship occurring at the graduate student level (both Masters and PhD) within the fields of Turkish and Ottoman Studies. Papers on all social science topics related to Turkish or Ottoman Studies\, which may include but are not limited to history\, political science\, literature\, environmental studies\, and the arts\, will be presented.
