Thank you to all who have offered to volunteer for TACAWA events! We will be holding our first meeting on Saturday\, April 24th at Cafe Paloma to discuss the launch of our first big umbrella project\, “Café Turkiye\,” which will be a diverse series of monthly roundtable events\, ranging from providing ebru and cooking classes\, organizing discussions with university professors\, and offering information sessions for members of our community interested in traveling to Turkey. The opening reception will be held Wednesday\, May 12th\, from 5\:30 to 9 pm\, and the exhibition will run through Saturday\, May 15th.
On the opening night\, Evren will give a 5 minute performance as part of the whole exhibition. The performance\, titled “Unnatural Distribution\,” will loop every 20 minutes\, at 5\:55 pm\, 6\:20 pm\, and 6\:45 pm\, for a total of 3 times.
