The Pacific Jazz Institute at Dimitriou’s Jazz Alley presents pianist and composer Fahir Atakoglu for two nights, touring in support of his latest release "Faces and Places." Fahir Atakoglu is an international award winning composer and pianist known for his large symphonic works and film music. His works have been performed in various music festivals in Europe and the United States to critical acclaim, and he is considered one of the most outstanding pianists and composers in the world today.

On Tuesday, August 31st, TACAWA and the Turkish Studies Student Association at the University of Washington are honored to host Mr. Ethem Yenigun, a former staff member of the Turkish think tank TESEV and an expert on migration and socioeconomic development in Southeast Anatolia. Mr. Yenigun will present research and lead a roundtable discussion on this topic, as well as discuss Turkey’s EU accession process.
